STRUCTURAL DESIGN AND DRAFTING
From initial design through final deliverables, we provide complete construction document packages supported by current and innovative structural calculations that meet the permitting requirements of the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Our drawings are developed using Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit, which are fully compatible with industry-standard structural engineering software utilized for analysis, modeling, and detailing. As part of our quality assurance process and project support during the construction phase, we also offer Construction Administration Observation services upon request.
INSPECTIONS AND ON SITE INVESTIGATIONS
• Structural Investigations for Remodeling:
We conduct on-site investigations to identify and document existing structural elements and conditions accurately. This process allows us to establish a precise baseline for redesign, enabling us to develop solutions that are structurally reliable, cost-effective, and practical to construct. We view this investigative phase as a critical component of successful remodeling outcomes.
• New Construction Inspections:
Inspection services for new construction are also included within our scope of work. Additionally, we are certified to operate as Sarasota County Private Providers, enabling us to support projects with permit inspections and accelerated review processes.
SPECIALTY ENGINEERING DESIGN
We offer a broad range of specialty and on-demand structural engineering services, including:
• 3D Structural Analysis and Design:
Structural design and analysis of concrete, steel, wood, and masonry systems utilizing software such as ETABS, RISA-3D, RISA-Floor, RISA-Foundation, and Mathcad. Our capabilities include elevated reinforced concrete slab design, with post-tensioned slab systems available upon request.
• Aluminum and Steel Component Design:
Engineering design for aluminum and steel elements such as sunshades, guardrails, stair systems, canopies, platforms, and roof-covered structures, among other custom applications.
• Wood Truss and Cold-Formed Steel Design:
Re-design and optimization of wood truss systems and cold-formed steel framing configurations to enhance performance, reduce material cost, and improve constructability.

Mr. Flores earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Universidad de Carabobo in Venezuela. His professional background includes key roles within several established engineering firms on the West Coast of Florida, where he contributed to the design and development of low- and mid-rise reinforced concrete, steel, wood, and masonry structures.

Jordan Eduardo Ortiz Estrella
Structural Designer
Civil Engineer specializing in structural design and analysis. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Veracruz, Mexico, with NCEES-accredited studies. His thesis focused on a pushover analysis of a bridge structure, evaluating its seismic performance and displacement capacity.
Jordan has experience developing residential and institutional projects, particularly in the design of wood and aluminum structures. He is proficient in software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Enercalc, and RISA-3D, and applies codes including IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318.
Cristian Montañez
Structural Designer
Civil Engineer graduated from the University of Carabobo, Venezuela, with a solid background in the design and construction of civil works. His professional career has been primarily focused on the execution of hospital and commercial projects, where he has gained experience in planning, supervision, and project control.
He is currently working at FG Consulting Group in the state of Florida, United States, where he contributes to structural drawing and design in wood and concrete. He performs these tasks using specialized software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Enercalc, applying technical and regulatory criteria to ensure the quality and safety of projects.
Cesar Calzadilla
Structural Designer
Civil Engineer from the Politécnico Santiago Mariño with over 25 years of professional experience. His background includes construction management, quantity takeoffs, cost and budget analysis, on-site inspection and supervision, and serving as former CEO of Dina HVAC and Air Conditioning Systems.
He currently works at FG Consulting, where he contributes to the structural design, drafting, and analysis of various projects.
